Had my very 1st music (songs) marathon 2 days back - 1 singer -> 2 hrs+ -> 17 songs. Phew. Hav to admit dat I had some misconceptions abt this Chinese singer all these while, though some of his songs r so familiar to my ears cuz my youngest bro will play his songs in the hse quite frequently.So, hows the feeling of continuous listenin to 17 songs in 2hrs+? Well, the word is : Mild Indigestive! If it's other singer, it wld've been much more serious liao. Haha. I must admit dat Lee Hom is very talented. However, some might say the best-seller Mr J (singer) also does his own songs. Though I do like some of his songs, but if one listens carefully, their differences r quite easy to spot. When it comes to 音樂性、連貫性&曲風, Lee Hom stands an upper hand, based on the fact dat he composes & arranges his own songs/albums. And though both singers do includes 中國風 songs in their albums, Lee Hom's pcs display alot more contents frm different music styles (R&B w/Chinese Hip Hop or Chinese Opera), which adds on to the 豐富性 of his songs.
I used to dislikes Rock (so noisy!), but his ＂搖滾怎麼了！＂easily sweeps me off my feet. His "Chinked-Out" （華人嘻哈）songs also completely opens up my ears!! *claps* N I specially like songs whereby he beautifully mingles Chinese Operas & Rap together, eg ＂蓋世英雄＂& ＂在梅邊＂(hope I get it right, cuz I'm jus a beginner to his music). But well, though I like his songs alot, but somehow I felt dat there's still alot I need to know abt this guy's music. N hope dat he keeps the current frequency of releasing his albums, cuz good musics TAKE TIMES. =)
